ok it's time for some new year resolutions....
1. kick some physics III ass!!! I have already failed the first test, and i'm not going to let this class get the best of me even though the professor is a douche bag.
2. smile
3.....
ok so i can't think of anything else, but that is becasue the only goal a person should have is to make sure that they are happy and the people around them are happy. That is the only thing that really matters in life.

I just love how stores arrange their merchandise.
I was strolling in K-Mart and i came across all the excersise equpiment. This was only half the aile, all cheeply arranged, and on the other side of the aile.... was all of the chocolates and candies. Now it is a store's job to sell their merchandise. They arrange it so that the flow is best suited for the customer and has some common sense behind it. That is why all the beddings is close to the trow pillows which is next to the window treatments who share an aile with frames and posters. So why in the world would they put the chocolates next to the excersise equipment?
Well it just dawned on me why.... If you were a serious athlete you would not go to K-Mart to buy any equipment... you would go to Dick's or Foot Locker.. where they would sell power bars and low carb pills. The general K-Mart customer (well in the north country) is an overweight low class trailer trash mother of 4 (and yeah i know that i was shopping there too.. but i rarely go in and i was bored). So in this mothers shopping spree at K-Mart, she is looking at the Dr. Phil books and the atkins diet book. Then she realizes that she needs some chocolate to make herself feel better because she is so fat... and while looking for chocolate, she discovers the excersise equipment and compulsivly buys a 30 dollar medician ball....
just a little thought process..
Well it's almost time to go back to school and i've accomplished close to nothing on the homework scale. I've been shopping and sleeping and shopping some more. I love being home, but it's so hard to get work done around here. It's so easy to be distracted in my house. I don't know how i even graduated from high school living in this house. So i'm going to break up the rest of my days to subjects. That way i can just concentrate on one subject. Even if it takes me into the middle of the night i'm goign to get my work done! :-)

aawww christmas.....
you can tell when your family is getting old when the gifts are getting more and more expensive, andwe are all still half asleep around the christmas tree. it wasn't a spectacular adirondack christmas though.. all rainy and foggy and floody... but hopefully it will make up for that later in the week or next week. We did the christmas phone calls to the families... it was my cousin austin's first christmas!! we spent most of the night with my brother's girlfriend telling her stories about benjamin and then of all the creepy ass stories from when we lived in south jersey, and of the haunted house on paddock in newburgh. So you can say that it was a lovely christmas hehe

The fog was so low, right above the snow.
The tress just fadded in and out
with their knarly black branches reaching out for you.
A red glow creeps over the ominous clouds
and the tress kiss the sky
this is the day before christmas

I always enjoy the little high school reunions when i get into town.. :-)

Well it's been two days since i've been home and i've been bored out of my mind.. i mean i should really be doing my work for school (i may actually do some tonight), but i'm in the shopping kind of mood. Since i don't have any money, i just bum around the house. Now, i used to be able to just withstand the tv watching.. but lately it's really starting to get to me. So to occupy my time, i've been playing dress up. Like this evening i raded my mom's jewlery box and stole some of her earings. hehehe I am now a new fan of dangly earings. That "i feel preaty oh so preaty" song comes to mind right now :-)

Now i just don't get these 80's movies...
we watched St. Elmo's fire today.. and it was so fucked up. All of the sex, drugs.. fooling around with friends, cheating.. idk about these people. Kinda makes graduating from college a bit scary.
watch the movie.. it's a trip

I remember this one day a couple years ago. It was in december, around christmas. We had this snow day (very rare for being so far up north because most people can just ski-do over to the school ;-) ). My house was already all decorated for christmas... all decked out since my mom is obcessed with buying things. It was a beautiful day.. they predicted that it was going to be snowy and icky all day, but the sky was gorgeous and there was just these big flakes falling down. I had shelby come over so that we could bake christmas cookies and exchange christmas gifts early. My mom had a sauce pan on the stove with cut up apples, and cinnomin sticks in water. The whole house smelled like apples and cinnomon. We sat in the family room with the christmas tree all lit, opening gifts, baking cookies and smelling the goodness in the air. It was just so pictueresque. Moments like those are rare in times like these. I love the adirondacks for that, they seem to slow things down, so that you can appreciate the small things in life.
I would have to say it was one of the best christmas/winter moments that i can remember.......
It's almost time to go home. I'm so excited. I love christmas at my house. We have the best room for christmas.. with hard wood floors and a fire place, with big french doors that look out to the back yard. My mom always lights these nice candles that makes the room smell so good. And we have this huge tree that is all decorated in crimson red and gold.
The adirondacks just can't be beat either. I swear the snow is different up there. Just breath taking.
I can't wait!! :-) :-)

oh and i'm happy to say that my little, Anne, is going to be inducted into Phi Sigma Pi this sunday!!
So this quarter has started off with some huge bumps in the road...
Such as....
oh friday, my electronic principles I professor yelled at me in class because i was giggle and smiling in class. Now i was doing that because my friend aaron banned his head on the desk and got his foot stuck in his chair... i couldn't not laugh. The professor stoped the whole classes and proceeded to say "i'm going to have a problem with you this quarter.... yeah you smiley". I was in complete shock! That has never happened to me before.
Then on saturday, i was DD-ing for a friend of mine. We went to our frat brothers' party (celebrating all the b-days). So we drove all the way out to monroe ave. There was like no parking, so i parked where i could... and low and behold, when we went out to my car at 2 am in the snow storm... it had been towed... Now i knew that it had been towed, bc when i looked harder in the area, there was a tow away sign that i didn't originally see. So we had to wait till people sobered up... meaning i didn't get to bed till 630 in the morning. That sunday, the place was only open for one hour and they were charging me $143.97!! Luckily i have some wonderfull brothers.. Lauren lent me the money and Becca drove me out to the shady place off east ave. Now getting her the money back is going to be a little tricky, but i'm figuring it out.
Hopefully this week and weekend goes a little bit smoother, or i'm going to have a hissy fit.
