So yesterday i got a new little. now i didn't think that i could possibly meet someone that is more perverse than me... oh but i did. She is going to be a great adition to the line....

I've noticed lately that we as college students are finally digging into those deep subjects, such as the meaning of life or what we thought of the war and the propaganda. When i first got here i was shocked to see that we weren't doing the coffee shop deep conversations with jazz playing in the background like everyother stereotypical college scenes. Not only was i shocked but i was disapointed. I think that i was just spoiled in high school because i had a great social studies department and i was active in model UN, so i was constantly talking about the bigger issues in the world. Then coming to a techy school, that was all squashed. Now though, i think that we are all maturing to the point where we are bored talking about this new lip gloss or magazine we were just reading.. or for the boys, this new bike or computer game (that is still a stretch when talking about most of the guys i'm surrounded by). Now all of a sudden i find myself talking about the meaning of life with matt while sitting out in one of the quads, and having a spontaneous discussion with a stranger in a hallway about the war. It's so .... comforting... to see that we aren't a little bit more deeper than i frist thought here are rit. Maybe the sunshine can bring it out some more :-)

I just love this weather. The sun is shinning, the birds are chriping, and the wonderful smell you smell after it rains..... oh spring how i love thee

so today, after principles of mechanical design, we were leaving the classroom in the basement of building 17. And wouldn't you know, there was this bat!! flying around, above our heads.... it was so creepy. It reminding me of all the times back home....
1. The bat being caught in the den at our house, and flying around there intill if finally found it's way out.
2. Going swimming at midnight in the heated pool and having bats fly up around the trees.
3. Working the graveyard shift at GP this summer, and being in the most deserted place in the mill, having a bat fly around my tow motor.... no one would have been able to hear me scream.....

what a day

"Ladies of the Irish persuasion are unique in their character. They are a combination of a little girl, mother, hooker, and nun. They can bat their eyes, or blacken yours. They can love you with a passion and make you feel like a king. They can be frail and strong at the same time. Depending on their mood, they'll chastise you for drinking.. or match you pint for pint. The ladies keep Irish men from killin' themselves and each other. But, they're like the grace of God... uncomprehendable but indespensible."

This was a good first weekend... and the first week was ok...

I can already tell that this quarter is going to be a bitch. So much work and prodjects, plus working a lot and trying to have a social life. I'm going to try to make the best of it.

This weekend rocked though. Friday i won a gift certificate to a deli thanks to lebo, so of course we are going to go out and get some lunch one day. Then we all hung out at nicks and watched starsky and hutch. We stopped the movie to sing happy birthday to matt (he's 20 now) but then we couldn't start it up again. So we had to run through a hour of the movie again. It was still a good time. Then last night i went out with jessica and a couple of her friends and hit up Sigma Pi and the LST. Sig Pi was ok.. saw billy and pete.. but we left after a little bit for the LST. That kicked ass hahahhaha. Here are some key moments of the party:

1. Matt getting so trashed because it was his birthday. The poor boy couldn't find his nose!!
2. Chris also getting trashed and pimping it up with all the girls..... he danced his ass off hahah
3. freezing our asses off to get plates at 330 in the morning.
4. Nick and Miguel sitting on joe abbate's lap hahaha

If i remember more then i'll post them heheheh

I also went to George Eastman House to see an exhibition called "15 minutes: Identity and celebrity". It was an ok exhibition but very thought provocking. I think the best quote that was on the wall said something like, your photo maynot be give you the identity or image that you want to give off. idk... but it was a great experience.

this has been a very relaxing break... not like i did to much hahah. I've really enjoyed just not doing anything, sleeping, and not doing anything. After winter quarter, i just got so tired. I'm catching up on all the sleep that i've lost.. or just stocking up for the quarter to come.. depends on your view on life. it's a real shame that the weather couldn't be nicer, but it sure beats having to cook for myself. I really don't feel like going back to school, but i have to..... i guess.....

i just watched legally blonde 2. I love that movie. she always inspires me to do the right thing.. and that you can do it wearing the cuttest heals heheheh. i just need to keep my head up and push through the icky.

i'm going insane
all over the page... if i could,
but to remain
in this world i should
remember what i do.
and what i do is for me to do
but spill all over the page
but if i could then i would
not go insane

so since i could not
spill all over the page
then i plan to not
be part of this world and go insane

so the academy awards was on last night and this is what i have to say:

Fashion~

1. julia roberts was of course gorgeous! i loved her hair and simple but sexy dress.
2. what was uma thurman thinking!! how can she look in the mirror and think that she looked good, that everyone would love the dress then go to the awards show.. maybe she's on drugs.
3. diane keaton... i don't know what to say.....
4. i liked the little girl from whale rider, she dressed appropriate for her age but still looked beautiful...

the awards~

1. lord of the rings... ok who the hell allowed that woman with the god awful hair go up on stage. i'm glad that they won awards, i haven't seen the movie but i'm sure that they deserved them... but that rats nest of hair with those stupid flowers....
2. tim robbins, thank you for the appropiatly short soap box speech.
3. jack black and will ferrill was hillarious and i think one of the better moments of the night,

now i know this is a long blog about the oscars, but i'm so god damn bored that this has been one of the most exciting parts of my night...

and i still like the oscars

well i'm all done with finals and i'm back home in the adirondacks. it's so quite.. today i just layed around the house. my parents yelled at me to get up and do something, but i've been so busy this quarter that i just needed a day to do absolutely nothing. i just love this peace and quiet sometimes, but i know in a couple days i'll be screeming of boredom and need for social interaction. i'm going to injoy this for now
