This was a preaty decent weekend.
Friday
I went out and bought this awesome shirt to go clubbing in. Anne and Chris also went out and got themselves new clothes. After getting all preaty, we got together at Chris' and pregamed before going to the Liquor Room. me, miguel, jessica, joi, cory, joey, chris, anne, matt, and becca and emma (we picked them up after pre-gaming) all went to the club. We got lost on the way, so by the time we found the place we all had to use the restrooms. We get into the club, and head straight to the restrooms. Now i have to say i was suprised to see a towel lady in there with all of these beauty products by the sink. As we were washing our hands, emma went to get a towel from the lady and she apparently grabed it out of her hand... hahaha... so this ghetto towel lady started yelling at her "i don't need this disrespect, you don't go grabbing things out of my hands, if you don't want a towel don't take a towel" etc... Emma tried to apologize but we preaty much just ran out of the bathroom. We get onto the dance floor and started enjoying ourselves when this creepy guy comes up to me. He taps me on the shoulder and asks if my friend was with anyone (pointing to emma). I of course, snapped back at him yes, and got back to dancing. This guy was so creepy too!! The rest of the night went well. When the club closed, we headed over to jays to eat because we were so hungry. I finally got back to be at like 4 am... but it was a great night.
saturday
The candidate event went down at like 4 pm. They had us do this scavenger hunt. We started off at crossroads, go to building 7, the library, building 70, building 8, the infinity loop, 8, the gym, SAU, and then finally the sundial, where we had our picnic on the side of gracies. We were so exhausted, but my group won the scavenger hunt (me, onisha, alecia, nicole, and elsie). The BBQ was cool, but i was so exhausted from the last couple days that i was just not in the socializing mood. I went home at like 7 and just did homework... yeah i'm an rit student.
sunday
nothing much to say, only that it was interesting trying to find this restaraunt in rochester. We got so lost going to this service event. We had to stop into this KFC right on the city limits, and apparenlty there was bullet proof glass around the cash register and bullet holes in the bathroom... yeah we didn't stay too long hahahah

This was in my friend jessica's profile..
The government today announced that it is changing it's emblem from an Eagle to a condom because it more accurately reflects the government's political stance.
A condom stands up to inflation,
halts production,
destroys the next generation,
protects a bunch of pricks,
and gives you a sense of security while you're actually being screwed.

I saw two movies this weekend...
Intermission was gritty movie that i never heard of. I saw it at the little theater in rochester. I really liked the movie only because there were so many intertwining story lines that i think that i need to see it again to be able to understand what happened. Also, the movie itself had so many emotions tied to it. Laughed, cried, being grossed out, and saw love. I wish i could say more about this movie, but all i can really say is that it's an experience.
Big Fish was a fantastically deep and fairy tale movie. The colors, the stories, the acting, the mood of the movie was so great. The story as a whole is just so magical. It's one of those movies that just touches so many parts of you. It was 2.5 hours long, and i honestly didn't notice the time pass. It was amazing.
Both movies are a must see. Fantastic in their own rights.

Well lets see what has been going on in my life....
Thursday
my best friend from home came to visit and look at RIT. She was accepted, and being the incredibaly smart girl that she is, she got a nice fat financial aide package from us. I showed her around campus, gave her and her parents a little tour. Then we got dinner at Gracies. we ran into a couple of my friends, so we all ate dinner together. Shelby then proceeded to scare everyone into going to the north country because of all the crazy boredum induced hillbilly antics that go on. We then got together with a couple other people and went to the little theater to see Intermission (i'll talk more about that movie later). It was a beautiful night, so the walk to spot was nice. We got coffee and did the college thing and sat around and talked. A group of other friends were there too so we all sat around and chatted. I wanted to show her that you can do more at RIT than sit in your room and do homework and talk on AIM. I think that she had a great time, so hopefully she'll be on campus next fall as a freshman.
Friday
After shelby left, and then the busy day after that, my night started. At 7 i went to this lecture on the big bang and god. I am always a little curious about this subject. The speaker was really funny and at ease, so it made the 2 hours enjoyable. Now i don't know if i totally got everything that he was talking about, i think that i need to hear the lecture again. Basically what i got from what he believes was that the Big Bang, because there has to be a begining to the universe and you can't have a begining without something that created that begining. What i thought was hilarious was that people went up to ask him questions about if the unvierse was created over thousands of millions of years, then why does the bible state that the universe was created in 7 days. Now i knew i like the speaker when he read my mind.... it's a Metaphor!!. hahahah...
Afterwards, our candidate class put on a poker turnement in the SAU. Without the weeks of planning, the event went really well. They made a good profit and it looked like everyone had fun. Unfortunetly some people took their chips, the really nice ones too. They didn't even take enough to make it worth while... Why in the world would someone want to do that. That just pisses me off.
This weekend is already decent....

I just can't seem to get this out of my mind....
This world is so small. Each life touches the other in a huge manor, small incidence or somewheres in between. Something in this world controls these conicidences. They do mean something, these connections mean something. All you have to do is look around, and pay attention. You never know when your past is going to come back to you in another form, and what you do is take what you learned from that past and deal with this new situation. This constant testing is what proves that you are growing as a person. The "tests" may not be big enough to notice, but they are there if you pay attention. Look past yourself and your little world and see what you need to see.
So today was easter and i had a really great day. I went to church in the morning dressed in my sunday best. The sermon was nice, idk, i guess i'm just so used to my church at home that it's hard to get used to other ones. then matt and i went to his friends house. Apparently he is from plattsburgh too!! but well older than me so i would never had known him. I colored eggs with this girl erin, which was a lot of fun, while the guys just bummed around. At two we went over to beth's. OMG that was a lot of fun. We played frisbee, walked around the woods, had an easter egg hunt and played football. It was a really great time but made me a little home sick. It was so preaty out too which is unusual for rochester too. Hopefully this is a great start to a great week.

This has been a crazy week. The prime moment i would have to say was at the cadidate meeting on tuesday. The brothers had to leave the room because the cadidates were discussing their events. So we are all standing outside the room chatting when we got into this discussion. Basically the whole descussion proved the marriage is a full time prostitution job. The wife gets an allowance from her husband to buy groceries and what not because she doesn't have a job herself. Then, the whole job title of a wife basically means that you sleep with your husband everynight. So you are getting paid to have sex with your husband. Plus!! you get extra benifits, such as; health, dental and life insurance. We spent a good 20 some odd minutes discussing this and decided between ourselves that it was a good thought. hahahahha.

This weekend gave me a lot of time to think. Thinking about the past and the future and my current life. I don't know if i have changed a lot, it's kinda hard to figure that out because i have always changed. I've always had to change, and re-adapt to a new situation. Having done that my whole life is quite exhausting actually. I've never really had a time to figure out who i am. I feel that i have found a peace, but i still have that fear of what may come. My life has become a pattern, and having to wait for whatever is to come drives me up the wall. Why is it that i have to take the road of achieviment. Why couldn't i have been a slacker, not cared about what i accomplished but how i lived my life. idk, i'm just tired of the rat race i am running. I just want to live a simple life....... but i know that (being programed the way i am) i couldn't never be able to keep my sanity if i did that. It's a vicious cylce that i know a lot of people struggle with. I need to find my peace in my rat race world...

so this week basically sucked ass with some exceptions. i hope that this weekend is a little bit better
