So this past weekend i went and saw "Motorcycle Diaries" at the little theater. This was such an amazing movie. The photography was awe inspiring and the story was movtivating with slight humor. this movie... it's hard to descripe how much i loved this movie but def go see it.

Also this weekend it was brick city festival at RIT. i saw Robert Redford speak on saturday afternoon, and then i saw david spade at night. david spade was a bit of a disapointment. he was humorous but the guy that opened for him was definately much funnier than david spade. that night, i went to a party in UC. this was such a random party to go to. there were some people i knew, but overall it was just a bunch of crazy people (plus a dog). it was finally getting more comfortable in the cramped apartment when Campus saftey came in and broke it up. since my car was the DD car, me, aaron v., brian f. and alecia all hopped in. only after, though, aaron v. unzipped his pants and pee-ed on the campus saftey car.

now this weekend wasn't the most memberable, it had it's moments of excitement but i hope that it's a good starter for this upcoming weekend when we hold a party at my house :-)

Three things that you are not supposed to bring up in a conversation with someone that you just met...

1. Politics
2. Religion
and.....

3. Baseball

It's just unbelievable what the american population finds important. Idk i'm a little disapointed about the intellectual level of this country. i'm not saying that i'm smarter than anyone... but i do like to get into deep conversations about a variety of things. with this presidential election, both candidates are feeding off the fear of the public over terroists (like they've never exsisted before, oh lord how stupid). i'm just becoming more and more pissed off... maybe i should just move to europe.

So this weekend i was planning on going down to cincinnati to work for the kerry/edwards campaign but because the planning was so unsure we didn't find out till the night before we were supposed to leave what the hell is really going on. because rit doesn't give us vacations, we would have had to leave sunday morning to make it back to rochester at a resonable hour...but that means that we would have missed all the good fun stuff (a rally and meeting kerry or edwards). so since we were the only college students going and we would be driving 8 hours to work on a phone bank for a couple hours, we decided not to go. :-/

Ok, so besides the shooting this morning i had a good weekend...

I saw a shit load of moives this past couple days...

Napolean Dynomite
This was a great movie. had no plot but most of the pointless scenes were so funny that it made up for the lack of plot. and i am a sucker for movies with a happy, learn a lesson ending and that is what this had. a must see movie when you just want to watch something mindless with your friends for a good laugh.

Donnie Darko
Wow that was a fuckes up movie. great though, it made you think. i loved how he got to live out what he's been dieing to do then go back in time and.....(sorry won't say the end). scary in some parts (the bunny... so scary... damn that bunny was scary). great movie to see in the dark with popcorn.

Mean Girls
idk, i think that i wasn't in the mood when i saw this movie. it became too preachy and really obviously pushing a message for young girls. it had some good moments, but eh.. it was ok.... i've seen better teeny girl movies (clueless for example)

Garden State
my new favorite movie. the script was good, the acting was good, the characters were good, i loved the randomness (it really gave it a personality). The soundtrack is fantastic... and aawww it was so romantic.

"The terrorism czar, who has worked for every president since Ronald Reagan, said, 'Invading Iraq in response to 9/11 would be like Franklin Roosevelt invading Mexico in response to Pearl Harbor.' "
