oh so bored at work right now. i really just can't find the motivation to do anything with the end of the day, end of the week, end of the month coming. i'm packing up my suitcase today, to head out tomorrow for my inevitable adventure. it's so odd, that time at work is crawling by so slow i can hear each second tick, but i'm running out of weekends to have fun, travel, and see new things. i need more weekends and less work... maybe i should just drop out of school, quit my job and just somehow get a lot of money, travel the world and have fun. of course i want to bring all my friends along for the ride.... no idea how that is going to happen though. one day...one day...

i just finished "Valley of the Dolls". it was such a sad book. it's scary how much lonliness, love, and the need to be needed can consume people, leading them on destructive paths.

so i was bored, so i went to boston to hang with my best pal alecia!

on our little weekend adventure, we def broke some rules... such as...

1. jay walking. now alecia, walking into the street with crazy mass driver is not my idea of fun, but what was funny was an anti-establishment type person telling us that we could get a ticket for such an act.

2. sneaking around harvard, hiding for old ladies garding a reunion celebration.

harvard... wow, ok, so i got a glipse of the freshman dining hall. only a glimpse because we were hiding against a wall trying not to be seen. this dining hall puts anything i've ever seen to shame. stained glass windows, huge statues, solid wood everything. this was an amazing building.

had fun though, eating candy from different countries, and seeing mr. and mrs. smith (really good), and shopping. back to work tomorrow.

Life always seems to get a little bit more interesting at work when my computer is broken. on monday (day one of broken computer) i figured out an issue that i had with one of my personal projects... a design i am working on, that had paralized me from continuing work. i was so proud of myself but i didn't really have anyone to tell that would understand...i emailed my partner but she has a life and hasn't responded.

today, day two..... the computer was broken yesterday when i really didn't have anything to do.... i learned how to hide and escape. one... well basically all of the engineers here... was in the navy, and he regailed me with what he learned during one of his training classes.

if you are hiding in a jungle:
1...stay low to the ground.. people don't usually look below their own waistline.
2...don't look at your sercher's face. your eyes will stand out, plus, there is a subconcious indication that if someone i looking at you, you feel it. so look at your sercher's legs. that way you know where they are going.

if a dog is chasing you:
3...use black pepper or cocaine, sprinkle it behind you and it will throw the dog off. now, if you are caught, and you used cocaine... you will be in more trouble than before, so it is not advised. black pepper is the way to go.

back to work now... using a co-worker's computer who is on vacation.

it has been quite a while since i've last written.

this past memorial day weekend, i decided to take an little road trip around new england.

my frist stop was at my best friend alecia's house. she turned 21 the tuesday before so we went into boston to celebrate. it was my frist time in beantown... it was very clean and very proper i thought. considering we only spent a couple hours in the city, i didn't get to see everything but i did love the shopping. we did gucci, dior, coach, luis vuitton, tiffany's, etc... but if only i had the money. to add to our day of decatence, we went to the museum of fine arts to see the car show... http://www.mfa.org/exhibitions/cars/default.html... and the paintings. some of the cars were very cute i might say, but since i'm not much of a car person, i wasn't as in awe as most were. it was nice to see some pieces of art though... monet, van gogh, renroir, o'keefe. it was lovely.

after getting alecia very tipsy at a resturant we drove back home to chill for the next day and a half. bbq-ing and ice cream eating (the ice cream big dig is quite good with jimmies on top).

monday morning i hopped in my car and drove down to providence, rhode island. i have to say one thing about rhode island.. for being such a small state, their road system sucks major ass. that is the only state i got lost 3 times in........... my old college roomate dana and i spent the day in the park with her bros and cousin eating tons of food and playing frisbee. after being stuffed we drove down to newport. now newport... wow... there are some impressive mansions there. http://tickets.newportmansions.org/
we saw the breakers... check for yourself.
since i grew up on the jersey shore, and since i haven't been back since '99, it was really nice to smell and see the ocean again. it was just so relaxing. we walked around town, saw some of the sites and shopped a little. i wanted to get real new england clam chowder, so dana suggested a place near her house to go eat. when we got there though, they were completely out of clams, chowder and all the other good sea food. i had to settle for some decent fish and chips. i didn't get back on the road till 930.. and then got lost somehweres in rhode island. luckily i was on a road going north, so i just decided to keep driving (figured i would hit new hampshire or vermont sometime). after a paniced call to my parents for them to check a map, i came across the mass pike and i knew the rest of the way home.

good weekend.. :-)

what to do next weekend....... http://www.strollingoftheheifers.org/index.php
