I had so much fun this evening...
i saw this italian independent film called angela at the High Falls film festival. This is the summery the website had:
ANGELA (Feature, Italy, 87 minutes). With her two previous features, Roberta Torre created the outrageous mini-genre of the Sicilian gangster musical, but she comes into her own as a serious director with this spare, dark drama about a Palermo Mafia wife, caught between the mob code of honor and her adulterous passion. In a nervy, haunting screen debut, theater actress Donatella Finocchiaro captures the inner turmoil of the seemingly dutiful heroine. As Angela plunges into an affair with her husband’s womanizing cousin, she experiences something far more intoxicating than illicit sex – a taste of freedom so compelling that she’s willing to court tragedy in its pursuit. (Amy Taubin)
It did get a little boring at some points, but i really liked it. There was some fantastic photography and coloring in the film, very .. gritty. The actress was great, but i did get a little lost towards the middle of the film where miguel had to help me out. Everyone else seemed to like it too. I was so afraid that i wouldn't be able to get a ticket, but i obviously lucked out! hehe
Afterwards we went to the spot and chatted. It was joe, JP, jamie, onisha, nicole, myself, brian (an alumni), miguel, lisa and lonnie. There was a lot of great old PSP stories, and brian cleared up some questions we had about certain brothers..... We laughed so hard, it was one of the funniest and funnest nights i've had in a long time. Tonight is one of those nights that cements my love for my brothers. We are all so different, majors, personalities... etc... but we all have this bond that allows us to be such great friends. A great PSP moment!
