Well lets see what has been going on in my life....
Thursday
my best friend from home came to visit and look at RIT. She was accepted, and being the incredibaly smart girl that she is, she got a nice fat financial aide package from us. I showed her around campus, gave her and her parents a little tour. Then we got dinner at Gracies. we ran into a couple of my friends, so we all ate dinner together. Shelby then proceeded to scare everyone into going to the north country because of all the crazy boredum induced hillbilly antics that go on. We then got together with a couple other people and went to the little theater to see Intermission (i'll talk more about that movie later). It was a beautiful night, so the walk to spot was nice. We got coffee and did the college thing and sat around and talked. A group of other friends were there too so we all sat around and chatted. I wanted to show her that you can do more at RIT than sit in your room and do homework and talk on AIM. I think that she had a great time, so hopefully she'll be on campus next fall as a freshman.
Friday
After shelby left, and then the busy day after that, my night started. At 7 i went to this lecture on the big bang and god. I am always a little curious about this subject. The speaker was really funny and at ease, so it made the 2 hours enjoyable. Now i don't know if i totally got everything that he was talking about, i think that i need to hear the lecture again. Basically what i got from what he believes was that the Big Bang, because there has to be a begining to the universe and you can't have a begining without something that created that begining. What i thought was hilarious was that people went up to ask him questions about if the unvierse was created over thousands of millions of years, then why does the bible state that the universe was created in 7 days. Now i knew i like the speaker when he read my mind.... it's a Metaphor!!. hahahah...
Afterwards, our candidate class put on a poker turnement in the SAU. Without the weeks of planning, the event went really well. They made a good profit and it looked like everyone had fun. Unfortunetly some people took their chips, the really nice ones too. They didn't even take enough to make it worth while... Why in the world would someone want to do that. That just pisses me off.
This weekend is already decent....
